Middle Park is one of the most beautiful and biggest parks located in the Quad Cities! There are a variety of things to do amongst its beautiful scenery. You can sit near the pond to watch the ducks and geese swim about. If your kids enjoy fishing, bring a fishing pole to catch the tiny fish that live in the pond. There are also great trails. Specifically, Middle Road Sidepath is a nice path that spans the City of Bettendorf. The path takes bikers, runners, and walkers past Middle Park and Palmer Hills Golf Course and connects to Veterans Memorial Park, as well as other local trails and sidepaths. It is easily 3.7 miles one way. There are also plenty of outdoor activities available in the park! Including playgrounds and basketball courts... They even have a water park and swimming pool. They also have a stage with a large bandshell where special events are held. You won’t want to miss the annual fireworks show on the 4th of July. If you’re looking to have a quiet visit, the park is the least busy on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

Devil’s Glen is a smaller, wooded park featuring trails along the scenic Duck Creek. Although it is one of Bettendorf’s older parks, it is still one of the nicest parks in the area. It is a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet amongst the sounds of the woods. You will love the beautiful scenery of the hillside curving down to meet the creek. As far as activities go, there is a fire pit, a playground, bike path, baseball diamond, & a disc golf course. The course is one of the best places in the Quad Cities to enjoy some frisbee golf. The park is definitely family oriented. Enjoy a nice picnic with your family in one of the park’s secluded picnic shelters. For a quiet moment in the park, visit when it is the least busy on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Wednesdays or any weekday in the mornings.
